Town Board Should Recognize That Library is a Wonderful Resource
To the Editor:

I would like to express my disappointment with the behavior of the members of the Town Board toward the Butterfield Library. They need to wake up to the fact that it is a gem in our community. My late husband, Phil, and I always treasured the library. It is a warm and welcoming place where I have spent many happy hours.

The library acts with the good of the community at heart. Each time I visit, I'm impressed with the numbers of parents with young children there. Last week I noticed several high school students using the library's computers. I am myself an enthusiastic member of the monthly book club.

The Town Board should recognize that the library is an amazing resource. It should provide the money the taxpayers approved, so that the library can continue with its wonderful role in the community.
