Leah Zablinis to Marry Dennis Cruz
Leah Zablinis, daughter of Jeanne and Bill Zablinis, formerly of Cold Spring, is engaged to marry Dennis Cruz. A June 28, 2008 wedding date is planned, with the ceremony to take place at Westbury Manor in Westbury, NY. The sister of the bride-to-be, Marakim Zablinis, will be the maid of honor.
A 1998 graduate of Haldane High School, Leah graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2003 with a B.S. in Speech Pathology. She worked a year as a speech therapist at a private residential school for special needs children before continuing on to grad school. She graduated from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry on May 30, 2007 with a M.S. in Speech Pathology and she has recently accepted a job with an early intervention agency and will be providing speech therapy to children in the Bronx. Leah currently resides in Mount Vernon, NY and the couple plan to reside in Westchester County after marrying.
Dennis Cruz is the son of Patricia Cruz of Westbury, NY. He worked as the foreman for betting machines at NYRA race tracks and is currently studying Electrical Construction & Instrumentation at SUNY Delhi, from where he will be graduating, in May 2008.
