Local Service Organizations Lend Helping Hand to Food Pantry

Members from the Cold Spring Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Loretto Church gathered 16 boxes of groceries, $250 in donations and over 600,000 in S&H Green Stamps for the Hunger Project, a coalition to address the needs of the hungry in Putnam County. Members from both organizations worked together in shifts to collect foodstuff and household donations for the needy from shoppers at FoodTown last Saturday.
