Teresa and George Van Tassel Celebrate Their 50th Wedding Anniversary
Teresa and George Van Tassel recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were honored at a luncheon at Dutchess Manor hosted by their three children: George Van Tassel, Jr. and his wife Laura, Teresa Van Tassel Lyons and her husband Michael and John Van Tassel and his wife Kristin. Teresa and George also have six grandchildren: Amanda, Gabrielle, Keven and Ryan Van Tassel and Hilary and Michael Lyons.
Father Gabriel attended and the couple renewed their vows. Guests attended from Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Vancouver.
The Van Tassels were married on June 29, 1957 at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring, followed by a reception at Dutchess Manor. Both Teresa and George were born and brought up in Cold Spring, and attended local schools.They are retired and enjoying life and their family.
