PV Rec Dept. Announces Fall Programs and Special Events
Putnam Valley Parks & Recreation Department will offer the following Fall Programs and Special Events. Registration forms and additional information are available on www.PVPR.com and www.PVSunset.com. or call the Recreation Department 845-526-3292.
Special Events
Fall Fungus Walk - All Ages. Co-Sponsored by the Putnam Valley Commission for the Conservation of the Environment and the Recreation Department. Instructor: Taro Ietaka. FREE - October 6, 1pm at Leonard Wagner Memorial Town Park
Youth Programs Weird Science - grades K-4. Instructor: Stella Landi-Lopez. October 16 $ 65.00/ 6 sessions - 3:30-4:30 at PV Elementary School
Little Picasso's - grades: 2-4. Instructor: Jessica Ellard. October 2 $50/4 sessions 3:30-5:00 at PV Elementary School
Halloween Workshop - grades: K-4 /Pre-School* Instructor: Jessica Ellard. October 30 $12/ 1 session 3:30-4:30pm at PV Elementary School. *Adult must stay to help child
Thanksgiving Workshop - grades: K-4 /Pre-School* Instructor: Jessica Ellard. November 20 $12/ 1 session 3:30-4:30pm at PV Elementary School. *Adult must stay to help child
Teen Center - grades 5-8. Director: Doreen Piacente. Free Program. 10/5, 11/2, 12/7, 1/4 6:00*-9:00 at Putnam Valley Middle School. *Start time may vary due to school activities. Note: No Registration required
Youth Advisory Board - grades 5-8 & 9-12. Pizza Meeting - Must RSVP to attend. October 9, 7pm - Middle School, 8pm - High School
Adult Programs
Adult Ceramics - age 16 - adult. Instructor: Evelyn Gulley. September 10 (still can join) $45*/5 sessions 7pm at PV Town Hall Annex. * There will be a charge for greenware and firing.
Yoga - age 16 to adult. Instructor: Alison Jolicoeur. September 17 $80/6 session 7:00. Lake Peekskill Community Center Tai Chi - age 16 - adult. Instructor: Lin Butter. October 3. Beginner 6:15, Intermediate 7:30. $80/6 session. PV Elementary School
Defensive Driving - age 16 to adult. Instructor: Ron Cummings. October 6 $35/1 session 9am. PV Town Hall
Adult Volleyball Leagues - Woman's & Coed Coordinator: Beth Miench Starts October Captain's Meeting: 7:00 Town Hall Annex Woman's - September 11 & Coed - September 10
Men's Soccer Adult League - age 16 - adult. League Coordinators: Omar Espinoza & Nino Santucci. This League starts in September.
