New York State Police Secure Large Amount of Marijuana Being Cultivated at Bog Brook
The New York State Police in Brewster N.Y., assisted by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police and the New York State Forest Rangers secured a large amount of marijuana from State land know as the Bog Brook Unique Area. The marijuana was being cultivated at several sites within the Unique Area located in the Town of Patterson, Putnam County. Information was developed locally that was confirmed by the New York State Police Aviation Unit. On Thursday, September 20, 2007 a detail from the above agencies harvested the marijuana which had grown to heights of 8 to 10 feet. This marijuana was remove by helicopter to a secure nearby location. Investigation is continuing into this case.
