New York City Man Arrested in PV on Marijuana Possession Charge
Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a New York City resident on charges of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation of the New York State Penal Law.
The Sheriff reports that at about 1:45pm on September 16, 2007, Investigator Christopher Spiconardi of the Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Investigation observed the occupants of a parked car acting in a suspicious manner in the parking lot of a business located on Oscawana Lake Road in Putnam Valley. Upon further investigation, the officer observed the driver of the vehicle in possession of a substance believed to be marijuana.
Investigator Spiconardi arrested the 20-year-old New York City man and charged him with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He was processed at the scene and released without bail. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court on September 28, 2007 to answer the charge.
