Joseph Michael Frisenda

Joseph Michael Frisenda, age 50, a life long resident of Cold Spring, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, surrounded by his family and friends.

Born in Cold Spring, NY on March 29, 1957, he is the son of Antoinette (Menga) Frisenda and the late Salvatore Frisenda.

Joe was the owner and operator of Joe Frisenda Excavating in Philipstown, NY. He lived his entire life in Cold Spring and would not have wanted it any other way. He loved the Philipstown Community and his love and respect for its natural beauty was obvious to everyone who saw him work. While Joe could literally move mountains he was a humble man who was able to retain a young boy's enthusiasm and joy while working with his trucks and equipment. Joe was a natural with kids and a ride with Joe on one of his big machines was a special memory for many of the children growing up in Philipstown.

Joe loved being part of the extended Frisenda family and exemplified their tradition of help and support for their family and their community. When help was needed Joe was always there with a smile to offer a helping hand, many times before he was even asked.

Granite, Ceara and Logan enjoyed all he was to his friends and community and more with Joe as their loving Dad. They all benefited from the strong and steady love and support he provided Diane as they cared for their family.

Joe is survived by his wife, Diane Lynn (Kalwicki) Frisenda, three children, Granite Michael Frisenda, Ceara Rose Frisenda and Logan Thomas Frisenda, mother, Antoinette Frisenda and brother, Carl Frisenda. He was predeceased by his father, Salvatore Frisenda.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 5, 2007 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair St., Cold Spring, NY. Friends may call at the Clinton Funeral Home, Cor. of Parrott and Pine Sts. (21 Parrott St.) Cold Spring, on Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Mr. Frisenda's name to Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam, 540 White Plains Rd., Ste 300, Tarrytown, NY 10591-5132 or online at www.vnahv.org
