First Presbyterian Church Holds Blessing of the Animals Service
This Sunday, October 7, at 3pm the First Presbyterian Church of Philipstown will hold a Blessing of the Animals Service in celebration of St. Francis Day. This brief service will be held on the front lawn. All animals large and small are welcome!
Knowing that all community is a gift of God, they affirm that there can be no exclusiveness about the body of Christ. They welcome into their community all people of God regardless of ethnic heritage, national origin, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation or socioeconomic standing; and they encourage the full participation of all in the life of their congregation.
