Manipulation of Conservative Party Endorsement Dear Editor:
I would like to inform the voters regarding the Conservative Party endorsements since Vinny Tagmagna has chosen to identify Rita LeMon as conservative leader. It should be known that after a legal and proper caucus of the Philipstown conservatives, William Mazzuca was endorsed for Supervisor. At the first caucus, Rita LeMon told those present that no Democrats had responded to the Conservative party's requests for interviews.
After the fact, I was informed by one of the candidates that he received no letter from the Conservative party. Which is it Rita, were the letters sent or not?
This would not be the first time that Rita LeMon and others have tried to manipulate the Conservative party endorsement. The last time Rita was in charge, she failed to inform the newspaper of the party's endorsements, and did not take out any advertisements for the election. That time, as now, the Conservative party endorsed William Mazzuca.
The voters should know the tricks that are being used by Vinny Tamagna and his supporters. Vinny's flyer in your newspaper attempts to portray Conservative backing. In truth Rita is acting as a puppet of the Eastern Putnam County Politicians, who for some reason wish to control Philipstown. Don't be fooled by Vinny and Rita on election day.
