PVHS Celebrates National Merit Scholarship Letter of Commendation Winners
Putnam Valley High School is proud to announce that two of their students have been named Commended Students in the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Hannah Schmidt and Thomas Ricci, both of Putnam Valley, received this honor by placing among the top five percent the more than 1.4 million students who entered the 2008 competition by taking the 2006 Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
They are among a total of 34,000 Commended Students throughout the US being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
A letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented by PVHS to these academically talented seniors.
