Keep Putnam Beautiful Trash Cans Decorated by Haldane Students

Hannah Diebboll and Briana Harrold designed and painted beautiful trash cans as part of the Keep Putnam Beautiful initiative. Cold Spring Mayor Anthony Phillips and Walt Thompson of Keep Putnam Beautiful congratulated the girls on their creative efforts.

Mr. Tom Locasio, their art teacher, helped organize and arrange the project with the Haldane students. The grant was funded by TB Banknorth.

Keep Putnam Beautiful is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of Putnam County by planting the seeds of stewardship through education, volunteerism, and cost effective programs that promote litter prevention, the enforcement of laws and a countywide commitment to beautification by individuals, communities, businesses and civic organizations.

Keep Putnam Beautiful has been established as part of the Putnam County Department of Solid Waste with funding supplemented by individual and corporate donations, grants and other non-taxpayer resources.
