O'Neill Girls JVSoccer Evens Their Record

#11 Siera Dillman with #7 Sarah Bosch
The O'Neill HS girls JV soccer team evened out their record to 2-2 with a 4-2 win over Burke last Thursday. The team put Burke on their heels right away after scoring their first goal in the first 2 1/2 minutes of play. Siera Dillman popped off an off balance shot and found the back of the net, to start the Raiders off. Sarah Bosch got her first of 2 goals of the game with a low shot into the corner from great feeds from Dillman and Marion Copeland. Bosch put in her second goal off an assist by 8th grader Anna Biehle. Bosch's powerful shot sailed over the goalkeeper's hands, hit the bottom of the center crossbar, ricocheted off the keeper's back and into the goal.

The loan goal in the second half was a shot by Avery Giordonello, assisted by 8th grader Lindsey Crill, which was lofted nicely into the goal, out of reach of the keeper. Andrea Constantinou recorded her second win in goal.

The JV girls face Monticello away on Thursday October 4. They have their first home game on Tuesday, October 9 against Cornwall at 6:15pm, and Wednesday October 10 Oct at 4:15pm against Sullivan West.
