Fall Hike Led by Mount Beacon Incline Railway Restoration Society
The Mount Beacon Incline Railway Restoration Society is conducting a hike up Mt. Beacon. They will hike Mt. Beacon up to the old trolley/casino site about 2 miles round trip, moderate - difficult (steep uphill, some rocky surface) approximately 3 hours with some time spent along the way and at the top. At the top there will be an option of hiking over to the Fire Tower. The hike is to help raise awareness to their Incline project
The hike will depart from Scenic Hudson's gateway to Mt. Beacon Park parking lot, located across from Bob's Corner Store on Route 9D at 9am on Sunday, October 21, 2007.
Please wear hiking boots/ sturdy shoes, dress in layers. Bring plenty of water, snacks/ lunch, insect repellent (ticks are out there!).
