Parent Support Group for Children with Special Needs Starts in Cold Spring
A support group for parents for children with special needs will have its first meeting in Cold Spring on Saturday October 13, from 3:30-6pm. Hosting and moderating the group, at her studio at the Carriage House at 8 Marion Avenue in Cold Spring, will be Dr. Suzi Tortora, Ed.D.
After working with children with special needs for several years, Dr. Tortora offered to start the group, the only one of its kind in Cold Spring, after several parents requested a forum in which to share their experiences and challenges, and to get help and information. Dr. Tortora will also invite guest speakers to address specific topics facing our children with special needs. There is no fee to attend; donations only.
