117 Employees, 10 Retirees Honored by Putnam Hospital Center
One hundred seventeen employees who work at Putnam Hospital Center were recently recognized at a dinner reception for their years of service to the Carmel hospital. In addition, 10 retirees were honored for their dedication to Putnam County's only acute care hospital and largest employer.
PHC President and CEO Donna M. McGregor, Health Quest President and CEO Michael T. Weber, PHC Chairman of the Board of Directors John W. Neubauer and PHC Medical Staff President Eric Teitel, each spoke at the event, thanking the employees for their efforts. Recognition awards were presented to the employees who are celebrating their 35-, 30-, 25-, 20-, 15-, 10- and 5-year service anniversaries.
Denise Degrace, Jean Kennedy, Brenda Neary and Thomas Paddock led the honorees with 35 years of service to the organization, followed by Janice Gastio, Kevin Roberts and Janet Schwartz each with 30 years. Teresa Kane, Joanne Mallon, Paul Pappas and Joanne Marie Tocci were recognized for having worked 25 years at PHC. Fourteen employees were honored for their 20 years of service to the hospital- Usil Austin, Richard Bennett, Kathleen Dana, Audrey Divernieri, Patricia Faranda, Nancy Gagliardi, Mary Ann Grant, Sharon Hayden, Delia Joyce, Deborah Juliano, Eileen Melanson, Kathy Roberts, Lynda Schrader and Janet Wright.
Nineteen employees were recognized for their 15 years of service to the hospital: Rosemary Brancato, Pamela Castle, Gloria Demato, Sheila Enkler, Michele Espejo, Linda Kranz, Lisa Leontovich, Susan Martini, Alice Montini, Michelle Piazza, Gary Pieratti, Lisa Reynolds, Eileen Rossi, Marianne Schleicher, Maria Schmidt, Cathleen Walsh, Mary Williamson, Beth Winch and Eva Zahensky.
Ten-year awardees included Margaret Brown, Brenda Callahan, Laura Challan, Mary Jo Clark, Emma Cutler, Sylvie Donnelly, Wendy Erickson, Katherine Horan, Sandra Houle, Mary Howansky, Ernest Johnson, Jr., Dawn Marie Maselli, Peter McDonald, Arne Nordstrom, Norah O'Brien, Demetria Paonessa, Hanna Peng, Eileen Phillipps, Anne Marie Pollaci, Natale Reale, Anne Marie Verona and Diane Whitford.

In addition, eleven retirees were honored for their years of service to the hospital: Barbara Cooke (27 years), Bernadette Howard (26 years), Avis Maccarini (26 years), Anna Corrado (24 years), Frieda Winfield (21 years), Mary Frances McCarthy (20 years), Emily Cafferty (13 years), Jean Tomic (12 years), Ida Tonnessen (10 years) and Premkumar Peter, MD (6 years).
