Seminar on Aging Driver Issues Offered by County Office for the Aging

The Putnam County Office for the Aging, the Putnam County Sheriff's Department and the Putnam County Traffic Safety Board will address the issues of the aging driver in Putnam County at the "Keep Seniors Mobile And Safe" seminar on Friday, October 26, 2007 at Sciortino's Restaurant, 388 Rt. 6 & 22 in Brewster, New York at 8:45am.

A free complimentary breakfast and lunch will be served. Reservations are required as space is limited.

The seminar will focus on the "Big Decision" that centers on "when to give up the keys?" Topics will offer information and resources on evaluating driving patterns, the difficult task of telling a loved one that it is time to give up the keys, and where to find the resources to increase the ability to drive safely.

Speakers include representatives from the Putnam County Office for the Aging, Putnam County Sheriff" s Department, Putnam County Traffic Safety Board, AARP, Putnam Hospital Center, Automobile Association of America, and many other agencies to keep seniors mobile and safe on the roads.
