Nat Prentice Issues Positions for Philipstown Town Council Candidacy

Nat Prentice is a Candidate for Town Council; this is his Position Statement

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…" This opening line from Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities might have occurred to you as you read the current campaign rhetoric from candidates running for office in Philipstown. The truth is somewhere in between, of course. Philipstown has benefited from careful past management of our growth and taxes. People also do feel threatened by the possibility of future development and runaway future taxes.

"This is an interesting Town Council election in that there are no incumbents running for the two open spots. I am one of five people that think they can do a good job of filling those two open spots on the Council. I know and like the other four people.

"There are some key differences between me and the other four, though. I wasn't chosen by any party to be "their" candidate. I am running unaffiliated, so that I can best represent you, the people of Philipstown.

"I am also running a positive campaign since it's my style to be positive and to focus on what is working and how things can work better. I get along with just about everyone. You can read a lot about my positions on individual issues on my website: www.natprentice.com.

"I think I am the best-qualified candidate in terms of experience and knowledge, and I'm ready to dedicate my time and energy to the task. Please vote for me on November 6; look for my name on the Community Vision Party line
