Body Found on Hiking Trail North of Cold Spring
The State Park Police report that a body was found by hikers in the Mt. Taurus Hudson Highlands State Park on Saturday, October 13, 2007.
According to the police, they responded to a 911 call reporting that a hiker had found an approximately 50 year old woman on the trail at about 12:30 that afternoon. The police report that there was no ID on the woman and there was no apparent cause for death.
The Cold Spring Fire Company responded to the scene and the woman was transported to Putnam County Hospital where an autopsy to determine the cause of death was to be performed.
