Familiarize Yourself with Bill Mazzuca's Accomplishments
To the Editor:

I have lived in Philipstown for almost 40 years and over those years I have been an occasional contributor of letters to the editor on issues important to our community.

During those years I have had the opportunity to observe the style and performance of many past Supervisors, some of them good; some of them not so good.

I have known and worked with Supervisor Mazzuca during 30 of those years. His leadership style has always been to dedicate his personal time, skills, leadership and knowledge, to making Philipstown the best town in Putnam County. I believe over time he will be judged to have been one of Philipstown's best leaders.

Supervisor Mazzuca's leadership has guided the town board on a managed course of financial integrity, and limited growth with a commitment to expanding our passive vacant land banks. With Supervisor Mazzuca's leadership, and the Town Board's successful lobbying efforts, in securing ongoing state revenue to replace lost tax ratables, Philipstown now has hundreds of forever vacant acres for our future use as passive open space.

In addition, through Supervisor Mazzuca's leadership, Philipstown has secured the Capuchin property with its beautiful vistas of the gateway to the Hudson Valley to grow our recreational facilities for the future.

If you are new to Philipstown, I encourage you to take the time to familiarize yourself with Bill Mazzuca's record of accomplishments on our behalf. If you already know Supervisor Mazzuca, than you know he has been working hard in our best interests.

Don't be fooled by the political rhetoric. Judge for yourself, and look at Supervisor Mazzuca's extensive record of accomplishments. If you're already a Philipstown resident you know how fortunate we would be to re-elect Bill Mazzuca as our Town Supervisor.
