Lilburne is a Consensus Builder Dedicated to Community Service
To the Editor:

I am excited that Cathy Lilburne is a candidate for the Town Board, and look forward to voting for her in November. Her experience leading the Garrison School Board during its often contentious referendum and school expansion period will serve her well on the Town Board. She understands budgets, she understands the need for planning, and she understands the importance of having community support for a project and building consensus. Additionally, she understands that community leaders must make an enormous time commitment to their constituents, and she is prepared to do that for us, again.

Cathy and her husband David have been good friends to our local cultural institutions, particularly our libraries, (including the library of our local Historical Society), and have played a strong and supportive role in the enormous success of the annual Desmond Fish Library booksale. As a small-business owner, she has been a long-time member of the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club. She is currently serving on the Putnam - Northern Westchester BOCES Board. She is dedicated to community service, and will be an excellent addition to our Town Board.
