What are Tamagna's Qualities? Dear Editor:
Here are the reasons I think Vincent Tamagna would be a devastating Town Supervisor for Philipstown. He has so many of the qualities that I don't want.
I certainly don't want a supervisor who shows up to events.
I certainly don't want a supervisor who helps seniors waste time on the internet helping them apply for the STAR program.
I don't want someone interested in pursuing ethics in governance. There are good reasons for keeping our heads in the sand.
I don't want someone who wants to dig into the real operations of government. Where would we be without backroom politics?
I don't want someone who wants to spend money fixing a town hall. It's a vintage building for crying out loud.
I don't want a supervisor who participates in community meetings.
I don't want a supervisor who has a history of asking for budget audits in the county. I t demonstrates a clear disregard for financial irresponsibility.
I don't want a supervisor who makes the roads safer by putting in left turn lanes such as the one on Winston Lane in Continental Village.
I don't want a supervisor who supports having a senior center.
I don't want a supervisor who can get grant money instead of spending tax money.
I don't want a supervisor who raises grants and builds Foundry Dock Park.
I don't want a supervisor who gets grants and brings a Trolley to Philipstown.
I don't want a supervisor who is always on Main Street and cares for our businesses; he should butt out.
I don't want a supervisor who does not have his own agenda but one for Philipstown.
I don't want a supervisor who isn't related to half of be without nepotism?
I certainly don't want a supervisor who puts "Philipstown First."
Finally, I don't want a supervisor I respect and admire.
Seriously, why would anyone want Vinny Tamagna for supervisor? Because he has EARNED both your respect and your vote.
Be smart on Nov. 6th - support the man who has always supported you. Vinny Tamagna for supervisor.
