In Cold Spring she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church. Peg graduated from Peeksill High School, and Hunter College Business School. She married Theodore Wm. von Eiff, Sr. on June 4, 1938 in Cold Spring. Her husband, Ted, preceded her in death in 1997.

In 1945, the family moved to Baltimore, MD where she was later president of the Maryland Colonial Society, a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and, over the years, a parishioner of St. Dominic, St. Francis of Assisi and the Cathedral of Mary our Queen. She was also active in the Loyola High School Mothers Club and the Jesuit Seminary Guild.

Peg was an accomplished musician playing the cello, piano and organ and served as organist in many of the parishes where she lived. She moved to Carmel, Indiana in October 2000 to live with her son and daughter-in-law.

Peg is survived by her two sons, Theodore Wm. (Kate) von Eiff of Carmel, IN and Wm. Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oak Ridge Rd, Carmel, IN 46032 or Best Buddies of Indiana, 3050 N. Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46208.
