Potluck Concert Season Opens at Cornwall Presbyterian Church
The Hudson Valley Society for Music opens the 2007-08 Potluck Concert season with a concert entitled Performer's Choice to be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 7:30pm at the Cornwall Presbyterian Church. The program will include music by Brahms, Mendelssohn, Ravel, Mozart, and Massenet. The performers are all local professionals: violinist Emily Faxon, soprano Suzanne Clune, and pianists Margaret Small, Marjorie and Ruthanne Schempf.
A Potluck Concert is an evening out with music, dessert, and crayons for children and the fidgety. Crayons are provided as are coloring books for children and paper for inspired adults. After the concert, there is dessert and coffee.
The Potluck concerts begin at 7:30 at the Cornwall Presbyterian Church at 222 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson. There is a suggested donation at the door of $7, or $2 for students. For further information call (845) 534-8368 or (845) 534-2166, or go to www.hudsonvalleysocietyformusic.org
