Garrison's South Highland United Methodist Church is Collecting Gently Used Coats for Those in Need
South Highland United Methodist Church, located at 19 Snake Hill Road in Garrison is again collecting gently used and clean coats that are in good condition (all sizes) for those in need of a warm winter coat. Coats will be collected at the church until Sunday, November 4. Coats can either be dropped off on Sunday mornings between 9:30 and noon or dropped in the box in front of the church entrance at anytime prior to November 4. Sweaters, sweatshirts, hats and gloves will also be appreciated. The deadline is November 4; the coats will then be delivered to the First Presbyterian Church of Philipstown, located in Cold Spring, for distribution at the local food pantry. South Highland will also be collecting shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child until November 11. Complete shoes boxes, items to help fill shoe boxes or funds to offset shipping expenses for the shoe boxes will gladly be accepted.
