Hudson Highlands Nature Museum Holds Parenting Workshop

On Wednesday, October 24, at 7:30pm the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents: Making Quality Time Count: Fun Ways to Incorporate Learning in Your Everyday Lives, at the farmhouse of the Museum's Outdoor Discovery Center, 20 Kenridge Farm Drive, Route 9W, Cornwall.

Join Sandy Dixon, Head Teacher of the Young Naturalists Pre-K program, to learn, hands-on, quick and easy ways to support and encourage your child's education. She will discuss tips on how to keep children occupied on long car trips and how to create interesting and educational scavenger hunts. Everyone who attends will be sure to bring home many ideas to help children rediscover the fun in learning. Mrs. Dixon has designed a series of interactive Parenting Workshops designed to encourage and support parents as they deal with the challenges of parenting young children in today's consumer society.

Cost: $5. Members: $2. Registration is requested. For more information call (845) 534- 5506, ext. 204. Visit the Museum's website at www.hhnaturemuseum.org .
