Legislator Recommends Tamagna as Dedicated Public Servant To The Editor:
After reading several letters to the Editor regarding the Supervisor's race in Philipstown, I am compelled to write about my colleague, Vinny Tamagna. I have had the privilege to serve with him on the Putnam County Legislature since I was elected in 1997. He was my mentor then and in the past ten years of working together, he has earned my respect and that of my colleagues.
Vinny Tamagna prides himself on being responsive to the needs and requests of the members of his community. He has the best interests of his residents in mind at all times. He is hardworking, dedicated, conscientious and someone you can always count on.
As the Hudson River Navigator, Vinny has been able to channel his love and concern for the Hudson River and the communities located on the River with pro-active initiatives and programs. He has been able to network with state and federal partners to bring funding for Cold Spring and other River communities. He has the experience and contacts to continue to preserve the Cold Spring/Garrison areas. He by far has the interest of each and every resident in mind when he cast his votes. We have to remind him from time to time that the is more to Putnam than Philipstown. Each time you look at your Trolley and rest rooms by the Depot restaurant or open up a Visitors Bureau brochure, know that Vinny
My intent is not to discredit Vinny's competition for the office of Supervisor. I just want to get the real story out to the public from someone who has had the opportunity to work directly with Vinny and observe, first hand, how well he represents his constituents and how much he cares about the future of the community. If you are looking for a dedicated public servant who has the network, the energy and the desire to make his community a better place, your support on November 6th should be for Vinny Tamagna for Supervisor of the Town of Philipstown.
