Lilburne's School Board Tenure an Unpleasant Time
Dear Editor:

I cannot believe that anyone would find Cathy Lilburne's time on the Garrison School Board as a positive. During her tenure, the community was the most divided in recent memory. Let's refresh the memory of that unpleasant time.

It all started with the Briarcliff High School fiasco. Remember trying to ship our kids down Route 9/9A during rush hour?

As far as understanding budgets, she presided over more double digit increases than I care to remenber.

The building project, the children still don't have the promised showers in their locker rooms. A recent report commissioned by the present school board has stated that the building is inadequate. Who presided over the planning? Also, the community has never received a final accounting of this project AND it took outside intervention to insure that the school opened on time.

If Lilburne's school board experience is a portend of what she will be like on the town board, hold onto your wallets, ready the For Sale signs, and stay off public property.
