Things Pushed Under the Rug with Mazzuca Dear Editor:
I have lived in Philipstown now for over 7 years, and since I moved here I have been trying to get a skatepark built for these kids. I went to the Village, in front of the School Board, and the Philipstown Board, headed by Bill Mazzuca, I even had funding to have the skatepark built, and NOTHING ever happened. When I went to him with plans and monies to have a skatepark built, I was always pushed under the rug.
Brendan Galvin and Stefan Jimenez raised over $600 for the skatepark, in addition to gathering hundreds of signatures in pledges. I am also disturbed that there are no proper facilities for our kids to use when they have to go to the bathroom.
The responsibility of these services lies on the shoulders of the Town Supervisor, Bill Mazzuca. I don't want to wait until my son graduates from Haldane before he can use clean and sanitary facilities. I do not want my son to have to use a construction type port-a-potty where there is no place for him to wash his hands, and quite frankly, the danger of one these little girls falling in is a concern; at least my son can go in the woods.
To me, there is no better candidate for Town Supervisor than Vinny Tamagna.
