Do the Math on Tamagna's Fine Accomplishments Dear Editor:
If it wasn't for the Honorable Vincent Michael Tamagna, Philipstown would not be what it is today.
He has achieved many fine accomplishments on our behalf. The years Mr. Tamagna has held office have been busy ones.
The following monies came either from the county budget or from grants that were awarded. Yes, because of Mr. Tamagna.
2001 - Foundry Dock Park DEC Grant - $100,000
2001 - Our Lady of Restoration Chapel - $10,000
2000-2007- Litter Clean Up for Main St. - $46,529
2002 - Cold Spring Main St. Holiday Lighting - $6,000
2002-2007 - Historical Society - $240,000
2005- Grant for trolleys- $360,000
2006 - Canine Training Cold Spring Police - $6631
2006 - Desmond Fish Library Elevator - $10,000
2007- Preserve America Grant Foundry Preserve - $150,000
1995-2007 - County Tourism - $1,500,000
If I were to list all of Mr. Tamagna's achievements, qualities and qualifications, I would need the entire newspaper. This letter, however, points out just a few highlights from his dedicated role in this community.
Do your homework. Then, do the math. It's as simple as 1+1=2. The Honorable Vincent Michael Tamagna + Philipstown=a win/win for us all.
I support Mr. Tamagna for Town Supervisor, and I am honored to do so.
