Forlow Powers Reservoir Dogs
The Reservoir Dogs won their last regular fall league baseball game as they defeated the second place Armonk All Stars eight to four.
In the top of fifth inning, with the score tied at four runs apiece, Ian Thom began a two out rally with a line drive double to right center field. The next two runners reached base by way of walks. With the bases loaded, Matt Forlow came to the plate and delivered the key hit, a long grand slam home run which put the Dogs ahead 8 to 4. Once the Dogs took the lead, Ian Thom came in to pitch and held Armonk scoreless over the last two innings en route to the Dogs tenth win of the season. Forlow pitched a strong 3 1/3 innings, but did not figure in the decision. Bayley Semple and Ryan Koval each contributed a hit.
This game was the team's last of the regular season; they finished with a 10 win and 5 loss record which was good enough for 4th place out of 14 teams in the Westchester Baseball Association Reese Division. The playoff schedule will be released later this week, with games being played over the upcoming weekend.
