Richard F. Turci, Jr.
Richard F Turci, Jr. passed away on October 25, 2007 in Spring City, TN. He was born on October 30, 1950 in NYC to Richard & Notolka (Sokoluk) Turci, who have both predeceased him. He was raised in Garrison by his mother and step- father, Frank L. Simone, Jr., who has also predeceased him.
Richard joined the US Air Force and served as a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam from 1969 - 1972. Awards included the NSDM, VSM, RVCM w/ Silver Star, and AFM 900 - 3.
He is survived by his current wife of 16 years, Mary Ferguson Turci of the home address, as well as his children; Sarah, Anton, Joshua, and Shannon, granddaughter Annalys all of Longview, TX, sisters Jody (Bill) Stubler of Utah, Elisia (Robert) Tuttle of Garrison, and brother Christopher (Sally) Simone of Garrison. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Services were under the direction of Putnam Reed Funeral Home in Pikeville, TN. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
