Tools, Toys and Food of the Eastern Woodland Indians Highlighted in Putnam County Land Trust Family Program
On Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 1pm, The Putnam County Land Trust presents a fun program for families led by Dan Aitchison, a naturalist on staff of the Westchester County Department of Parks. Dan will scatter activity areas throughout the forest to offer a hands-on exploration of artifacts, animals skins, and lithic tools for a close up look at how people lived in the Hudson Valley before contact with Europeans.
Meet at the Dorrie O'Brien House, 63 Cobb Road, Brewster. There is no fee for this program but come to be inspired. For more details and to register for this program, call Cathy Ermann at 845-278- 8091.
Directions: From Rte 6 and 22 turn onto Starr Ridge Road. Continue for 8/10 of a mile to Cobb Road on the left. Turn onto Cobb Road and continue 4/10 of a mile to Number 63.
