Cold Spring Police Department Activity Report for October 15-28
The Village of Cold Spring Police Department reports the following activity for the last two weeks of October:
On October 16 at 8:20am, Cold Spring Police Officer Gregory Walz responded, along with the Cold Spring Fire Company to a residence on Grandview Terrace on a report of an activated fire alarm. The residence was checked, and the alarm was reported to be caused by food on the stove.
On October 16 at 12:08pm, Cold Spring Police Sergeant Darrell Burris responded, along with the Cold Spring Fire Company, to an activated fire alarm at a residence on Rock Street. No reason found for the activation.
On October 16 at 3:50pm, Cold Spring Police Sergeant Darrell Burris responded to a report of criminal mischief to the Church of the Restoration on Market Street. Based on evidence at the crime scene, Sergeant Burris interviewed a suspect who resides on Division Street in Nelsonville. During the interview, the suspect admitted to causing the damage. The Church did not wish to press criminal charges and will pursue the damages civilly
On October 17 at 12:57pm, Cold Spring Police Officer Gregory Naranca responded to a report of a 32-year-old male having chest pains at Mayor McConville Park. Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance and the paramedic responded. Subject was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center.
On October 17 at 8:25pm, Cold Spring Police Officer Edward Boulanger was advised by a Putnam County Deputy Sheriff of a subject that he had stopped that had an active warrant from the Village of Cold Spring Court for a charge of aggravated harassment. Leon E. Clement, Jr. of Peekskill was arrested and remanded to the Putnam County Jail.
On October 19 at 8:46pm, Cold Spring Police Officer Robert Russell responded, along with the Cold Spring Fire Company for a report of an activated fire alarm at the Haldane School. Building was searched by Officer Russell and the Cold Spring Fire Company and no reason was found for the activation.
On October 20 at 9:30am, Cold Spring Police Officer Terence Comiskey responded to a report of an 88-year-old Main Street resident who was having difficulty breathing. Officer Comiskey, along with the paramedic and Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance responded. The subject was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center with possible broken rib.
On October 22 at 10:40am, Cold Spring Police Sergeant Darrell Burris responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident of Mountain Avenue and Fishkill Avenue. Two vehicles collided while one was pulling out of a parking space. No injuries were reported and no summonses were issued.
On October 23 at 4:11pm Cold Spring Police Officer Gregory Naranca, along with Sergeant Darrel Burris, responded to a report of an injured subject inside the Main Street subway tunnel. A 38 year-old male from Yorktown Heights had injured himself by falling on the stairs. Subject was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center by Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
On October 27 at 2pm, Cold Spring Police Officer Rhonda Wallach was dispatched to a report of a disabled vehicle blocking Main Street. Upon arrival, she helped the owner get the vehicle out of the roadway.
On October 27 at 11:45pm, Cold Spring Police Officer Anthony Pupczyk was dispatched to Chestnut Street on a report of a 94 year-old woman who was feeling ill. Subject was transported by Philipstown Ambulance to Hudson Valley Hospital Center.
On October 28 at 7:42am, Cold Spring Police Officer Anthony Pupczyk was dispatched to a residence of Forge Gate Drive for a report of an elderly woman who was hemorrhaging. Subject was assisted on scene by Empire State Paramedic and was transported to Phelps Memorial Hospital by Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
On October 28 at 9:37pm, Cold Spring Police Officer Gregory Naranca responded to a residence on Chestnut Street for a report of a home health care aid suffering a seizure. The aid, a Poughkeepsie resident, was transported by Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Hudson Valley Hospital Center.
On October 28 at 11:34pm, Cold Spring Police Officer Gregory Naranca responded to Morris Avenue on a report of a subject who took an overdose of prescription medication. The subject, a female 40 year-old New York City resident was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center by Philipstown Ambulance.
