With Respect to Four Parcels
To the Editor:
My name is Vincent Terio, with respect to four parcels
(39.2-12.1 through 39.-2- 12.4) entered on the Philipstown assess-tax roll tax roll. The Commissioner of Finance and Enforcing Officer against Mr. Terio, is foreclosing on November 1, 2007 with respect to said four parcels, in which I do not own or otherwise and affirmed by my attorney on behalf of Mr. Terio.
Beware potential purchases is essential regarding said
four parcels, to complete this research before the day of the sale because there are definite risks when buying tax foreclosure and tax-title properties. And even owned County property, without doing complete research can result in unwanted and costly sur-prises.
The best place to begin? Besides the minimum bid sheet, the treasurer's office (the Commissioner's office) will provide as much information as it has available. The treasurer's office is only a starting point. Sometimes the information available is minimal. It's up to the buyer to pursue other resources.
Please note: Mr. Terio's requested title search of said four parcels shows that I am not .... the owner nor an interested party.
A title search. the Putnam county records, the Putnam County Archives Document & Record Description, and the New York State Office of real Property Services with respect to said four parcels show that Vincent Terio, is not the owner in title, nor a party in interest or otherwise.
The burden of proving that Mr. Terio is the title owner of said four parcels is on the Commissioner of Finance's (foreclosure attorney). That also includes the Supreme Court, Putnam County respectfully.
