Katie McConville Honored as MaxPreps/AVCA New York StateVolleyball Player of the Week
Katie McConville, a senior opposite right side hitter for Haldane High School's championship volleyball team, has been named the MaxPreps/ AVCA New York High School volleyball Player of the Week on October 21, 2007. She earned the award for her key play in leading the Blue Devils to an impressive 26-1 record to date. Through her last five games, McConville drilled 16 kills, to average 3.2 kills per game. Additionally, she served up seven aces and added four blocks, three assists and eight digs (1.6 dpg) for the Blue Devils. Haldane is coached by Joel Stanford.
The High School Player of the Week Program is a nationwide partnership between the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and CBS MaxPreps, Inc.
