Hudson Valley Hospital Center Annual Breastfeeding Tea Helps Educate Moms

President John C. Federspiel along with Kathy Webster, Vice President of Patient Services, joined Linda LeMon, Lactation Consultant, at this year's annual Breastfeeding Support Tea.
In celebration of their decision to breastfeed, the women are treated to lunch and receive gifts at the annual Tea. The event also offers moms a chance to socialize with other new parents. Over 70 women from the area attended the event with their children. Linda LeMon, four year employee of Hudson Valley Hospital Center, is responsible for spearheading the yearly gathering. Four year Lactation Consultant, nine year doula and 20 year childbirth educator, LeMon brings unparelled experience to the Hospital on the subject of childbirthing and breastfeeding in particular. As a 27 year resident of Cold Spring, LeMon is passionate about helping moms in the community give their babies the best care possible. Hudson Valley Hospital Center also offers a Breastfeeding Support Group that meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Arthitis Center on Hospital grounds. In addition, there is a Breastfeeding Prenatal Class offered the 1st Tuesday of each month at HVHC. For more information call Linda LeMon at (914) 734-3896.
