Control Issues Focus of Putnam Hospital Center's Diabetes Support Group
The next meeting of Putnam Hospital Center's free Diabetes Support & Education Group will be held on Tuesday, December 11, at 6pm, in the ground floor café classrooms at the hospital, located at 670 Stoneleigh Avenue in Carmel.
"Healthy Habits: When You Know Your Numbers You're in Control" will be the focus of the meeting with Patricia Mackey, RN, CDE, and Joanne Greene, RN, CDE. They will discuss the importance of checking blood sugar, knowing your numbers, pattern management techniques and more. A free meter will be given to all who attend.
Family and friends are welcome to attend meetings of the free Diabetes Support & Education Group, which is designed to teach individuals how to keep their diabetes under control and to live a healthier life. The meetings provide participants with an opportunity to hear from knowledgeable professionals and to network with others who have diabetes. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration for this meeting is required by calling 845-279- 5711, Ext. 6263.
