Rachel Flaherty Named MaxPreps/ AVCA New York Player of the Week

Rachel Flaherty, a senior setter for Haldane High School, has been named the MaxPreps/ AVCA New York High School volleyball Player of the Week. She earned the award for her key play in leading the Blue Devils to a nearly perfect 30-1 record to date, including wins in their last 18 outings.
Through her last three games prior to November 3, Flaherty quarterbacked the Cold Spring offense, registering 30 assists for an average of 10.0 assists per game. She also commanded the Blue Devil attack corps to a .448 hitting percentage during the span, in addition to chipping in three service aces. Haldane is coached by Joel Stanford.
