Support Connection Hosts Cancer Support Groups for Women in December
Support Connection, Inc., a not-for profit organization that provides free, confidential support services for people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, is offering the following support groups in December for women with breast and ovarian cancer:
Breast and Ovarian Cancer Support Group
Details: Support group for women with breast or ovarian cancer offered once a month by Support Connection, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides free support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer. For women living with breast or ovarian cancer, focus is on life after a cancer diagnosis. Facilitated by a licensed social worker who has experienced breast cancer. Date & time: December 10, 2007 (2nd Monday each month) 10- 11:30am. Cost: Free. Advance registration is required. Location: Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel
Breast Cancer Support Group
Details: Breast cancer support group offered once a month by Support Connection, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides free support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer. Ovarian & Gynecological Cancer Support Group
Details: A monthly support group for women with ovarian or gynecological cancer. Group is offered by Support Connection, Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides free support services to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer. The group is led by a clinical social worker, and focuses on topics related to life after a cancer diagnosis. Date & time: December 19, 2007 (3rd Wednesday each month) 7pm. Cost: Free. Advance registration is required. Location: Putnam Hospital, Carmel
Ovarian Cancer Telephone Support Group
Details: A Toll-Free Telephone Support Group for women with ovarian cancer is available every month through Support Connection, Inc. This service is available to women regardless of where they live. Ovarian cancer support services are hard to find in many places. The group offers women with ovarian cancer the opportunity to support one another and to share their concerns and experiences with other women who have the same diagnosis. Group is led by a trained peer facilitator who is an ovarian cancer survivor. Participation is free. After registering in advance with Support Connection, participants call into a toll-free number and are connected with the group via teleconference.
