"Kindergarden" at Haldane
The Philipstown Garden Club has adopted Haldane School and is helping the children to make the grounds more beautiful. Kindergarten students have been planting bulbs in the beds at the elementary school entrance and the children can hardly wait for spring to see their garden grow.
Kindergarten moms and avid gardeners who have been working with the children include: Kara Bickham Seward
Sammy's mom); Jennifer Marrinan (Liam's mom); Sherrie Nachamkin (Andrew's mom); Sarah Gurland (Curtis's mom); Michelle Holubar (Graydon's mom); and Andrea Maasik (Alek's mom). The children planted tulip bulbs that were donated by the Haldane PTA.
Word has it that they're planning something special for third graders for around the holidays. So, parents of third grade students, prepare for a surprise! Many thanks to the "Gardening Moms" for all of their hard work.
