Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce Kicks Off the Holiday Season

Attending the festivities were, left to right: Cathy Gonick, Marshall Mermell and Sharon Zeien
The weather outside was frightful but the good cheer inside Tavern restaurant at the Hudson Highlands Country Club this past Sunday evening made up for the messiness underfoot. Over 60 guests gathered to celebrate the season and vote in the Board of Directors election at the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday Party.

With three members of the Board of Directors up for reelection and two open seats on the Board, voters were asked to vote for five candidates. Nat Prentice, Randall Chiera of Chiera Associates and Robert Lomino of Robert's Total Care Salon were reelected and William Bujarski of CIMA Group and Grey Zein of Grey's Printing will fill the vacant seats.

Throughout the party, DJ Angel of Ricardo & Company, played a variety of seasonal and dance tunes while guests dined from the delicious buffet dinner and browsed through the Silent Auction items that arrayed the tables. Generous local businesses and individuals contributed a wide variety of unique gifts that ranged from gift certificates to many of the areas fine restaurants like the Depot and Angelina's, shops including C & E Paint Supply and Hudson Valley Outfitters and events such as the Shakespeare Festival and Boscobel Candlelight Tours, to Italian wine trios from Cathryn's Tuscan Grill's extensive collection and a huge Gourmet Basket from The Country Goose. Oil Paintings and photographs as well as beautiful jewelry intrigued bidders throughout the evening. The auction was a huge success with the Chamber receiving over $3, 000. These funds will be used to promote member businesses through events and marketing opportunities. For more information about the benefits of membership with the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce, visit the website at www.coldspring.chamber.com or call the Executive Director, Maureen McGrath at 914-420- 7995.
