Putnam Hospital Newborns to Receive Handmade Hats Courtesy of the Mahopac Library Community Crafters
Thanks to the handiwork of the Community Crafters at Mahopac Library, each infant born at Putnam Hospital Center in December will receive a handmade candy cane striped hat as a holiday treat. Each month, the Community Crafts donate approximately 60 themed hats each that they create to the newborns at the Carmel hospital's Birthing Center.
Modeling the holiday hats are Keith Segalini held by Cindy Vargas, RN, and Lily Galayda held by Sue Hernandez, RN. The Community Crafters, from left to right, are Eleanor Scogna, Mary Tittemore, Clara Porta, Catherine Misuraca, Inez DeCicco, Sheila Gargano, Inge Stahl, Dorothy Buick, Kathy DiMartino and Phyllis Penirelli.
