Hudson Highlands Museum Presents Meet the Animals Between Christmas and New Years

"Meet the Box Turtle" at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's Wildlife Education Center.
From Wednesday through Sunday of the holiday week between Christmas and New Years, all ages are welcome when the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents Meet the Animals at the Wildlife Education Center in Cornwallon Hudson. Bring along family and friends to meet some of the fascinating animals that live at the museum such as the opossum, American crow, black rat snake, house mouse and the American toad. A different animal will be featured each day. Come learn where these animals get their name, what kinds of food they eat and how they adapt to winter.

"Meet the Animals" will be presented at 2:30pm, December 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, 25 Boulevard, Cornwall-on-Hudson. General open hours are: 12pm until 4pm Friday through Sunday. Current exhibits are: the Living Hudson Exhibit a permanent exhibit including live animals from this area; and Symbols of New York an interactive exhibit that introduces the New York State Bird, Mammal, Insect and others. If the weather is good, plan to hike the short "familyfriendly" trails.

Meet the Animals is presented throughout the year on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30pm. A different animal is featured each week. General Admission is $3 for ages 2 and older, free for Museum members.

For more information, call (845) 534-5506, ext. 204, or visit the Museum website at: www.hhnaturemuseum.org.
