Ring In 2008 With a Full Year of Discounted Fine Dining Locally
Fundraiser for PARC features 2-for-1 entrees at the area's best restaurants

PARC has teamed up with 16 of the area's best-rated restaurants to offer discounts for fine dining for all of 2008, the Table for 2 fine dining passport.

Here in the Hudson Valley, we are fortunate to be surrounded by natural beauty, tremendous history, and an abundance of fine food. Table For 2 will introduce you to the culinary delights of Putnam, Westchester, and Dutchess counties' best restaurants while raising needed funds to help children and adults with developmental disabilities, autism, and traumatic brain injuries. A total of 16 restaurants are a part of this second annual dining out passport, each one offering a 2 for 1 entree special to PARC donors who purchase the passport.

This year's restaurants include: Riverview, Cold Spring; Tavern at Highlands Country Club, Garrison; The Bird & Bottle Inn, Garrison; Cathryn's Tuscan Grill, Cold Spring; Whistling Willie's, Cold Spring; Sukhothai, Beacon; Dockside Pub, Mahopac; Jaipore Royal Indian Cuisine, Brewster; Stoneleigh Creek Restaurant, Armonk; Southeast Grille, Brewster; Susan's, Peekskill; Arturo's, Mahopac; Peza, Hopewell Junction; Sentrista Grill, Brewster; Filia's, Brewster; and Towne Crier Cafe, Pawling;

"I grew up in the restaurant business and I wanted to work directly with restaurant owners to create an exciting, fine dining promotion that would also benefit PARC," said Rand Bridget Otten, PARC's director of development. "Table for 2 is a wonderful way to dine out well, but at a great discount. Just present your Table for 2 passport, and the restaurant will take one dinner entrée off your bill. It's just that easy."

The Table for 2 fine dining passport is $40 and is available for purchase at PARC's website, www.PutnamARC.org and at PARC Center, Route 6, Carmel and PARC's corporate offices at 31 International Blvd., Brewster. You can also purchase Table for 2 at Merritt Bookstore in Cold Spring and Kitch N' Kaffe in Mahopac.

With free entrees at 16 restaurants, the book's value is estimated to be over $350 in free meals! The passport is good weeknights only and is not available on weekends and holidays (Each restaurant picks the nights of the week to feature the passport. Most establishments allow the book Monday-Thursday). Table for 2 is good for a full year, all of 2008.

Recognized as a 501 c (3) in 1954, PARC provides programming and advocacy for over 640 children and adults with developmental disabilities within Putnam County and in southern Dutchess and northern Westchester counties. Money raised from PARC's fundraising activities, including Table for 2, directly benefit and impact PARC's consumers and their programs.
