Environmental Conservation Project at Haldane Middle School
Rebecca Houser, Watershed Educator School Specialist of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) visited Haldane sixth grade science classes to teach them mapping skills. She shared a giant Hudson River relief map with the enthusiastic young scientists. She will visit again to talk about watersheds and later in the spring she will spend two sessions discussing pollution. These hands-on science activities greatly enhance the sixth grade science curriculum. Ms. Houser works closely with the sixth grade science teacher, Cheryl Saposnick.
