Philipstown Garden Club visits Mother Lurana House
The weather on Tuesday, December 18 cooperated, allowing members of the Philipstown Garden Club to visit with the volunteers and participants at the Mother Lurana House, an adult day care facility located in Garrison. As they were arriving, Santa Claus left after having distributed his sack of gifts and good cheer. The party atmosphere continued with the garden club members supplying Christmas wreaths and decorations for everyone to create their own wreath. As a thank you to the Garden Club, some of the participants and volunteers gave a little preview of their annual show, with songs, skits and poems. The mood was very festive and everyone enjoyed the day. Providing local news, information and opinions from
