They were chosen for a host of reasons: "She leads with a quiet demeanor that is so contagious she makes everyone want to emulate her." - Carmel's Brianna Fregosi, Cosmetology student; "It takes a special person to climb 100 feet up a tree...and always bring his best to class." - Katonah's Tyler Johnston, Urban Forestry student; "She's an Honor Society student who is not afraid of a challenge." - Mahopac's Audrey Hiney, Auto Mechanics student; "She's excelled in every aspect of business and provides great customer service." - North Salem's Besa Ukaj, a Business Management student.
These four students, enrolled at The Tech Center at
Yorktown, were among nine young people named a Student of Distinction for the
second quarter of the school year. Because of their leadership qualities,
academic performance, and positive attitude, they were selected by The Tech
Center faculty for this recognition, which included a certificate and breakfast
with family and friends.
