First Bird Tests Positive for West Nile Virus in Putnam
Crow located in Philipstown comes back positive from State Health Department
The Putnam County Health Department received notification from the New York State Department of Health that a crow located in the Town of Philipstown has tested positive for West Nile virus. This is the first bird that has tested positive for the virus in 2008. Prior to this there were no mosquito or human cases of West Nile virus in Putnam this year. Full Story
