Increase held to 5.61% through cuts and revenue increases
Putnam Valley Town Supervisor Bob Tendy and Director of Finance Marianne DiSantis, presented the Town's preliminary budget at a work session held Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Philipstown's "MITEY" Hawks Dominate Peekskill
It was noon time at Depew Park in Peekskill. The Hawks were preparing for their game against the Peekskill Titans. The game began with a kickoff to the Hawks which was downed by Brandon Hodge on the Hawks' 18-yard line. On the first drive, the Hawks showed their discipline by catching Peekskill on penalties for going offside. Full Story

Bonnie A. Warren, age 64, of Nelsonville, died on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at her home. Born in Beacon, NY on October 14, 1943, she is the daughter of Gertrude (Benziger) Dotterer and the late Richard Dotterer. Mrs. Warren worked as a bookkeeper for Tri-County Maintenance in Wappingers Falls, retiring in 2007. Full Story

Alexander "Sandy" Draper of Rhinebeck, NY, died peacefully at home on Sunday, September 21, 2008. Catherine "Kay" DeCaro passed away on Monday October 6, 2008 at Wuesthoff Hospital in Florida. She was the daughter of Eli and Elizabeth Milkavich. Kay was born in Fayette County, PA. Later she moved to Cold Spring, where she met and married her late husband, George DeCaro, Sr. They moved to Rockledge Florida in 1986. Full Story
